Mephistofeles en vivo en Rosario 10/11/23

El pasado viernes 10 de noviembre, la banda de rock paranaense Mephistofeles se presento en Rosario, Santa Fe en el "REFI" de calle Velez Sarfield.
El nuevo integrante, Luca Frizza se desempeña en la bateria ya desde hace un par de meses y le ha dado un nuevo respiro de tranquilidad a la banda.

Acompañándolos estuvieron: Almagalaxia - Buhociego - Inferous y Halfaya

Sahara en Cordoba, 2019

 

En el año 2018 salió el segundo disco y hicimos varias presentaciones, pero las importantes fueron en 2019, la segunda parte del tour. Arrancaba en Rosario, después Santa fe, despues nuestra ciudad de Paraná y terminaba en Cordoba capital. La fecha en Rosario fue buena, bastante gente y no paso nada “curseado” (termino impuesto por Ismael). Al otro día, en Santa Fe yo corte una cuerda y Julian rompió su bajo, solo tocamos 2 temas.
La 3er fecha, en Paraná fue desastrosa, tocamos la mitad del set y no podíamos sonar, no se escuchaba nada y aparte de que nos cobraron el sonido sin haberlo pedido, el sujeto no nos opero, a todo esto la banda que venia de Rosario (Nostone) no podía venir en su van, y ese era nuestro medio para ir hasta Cordoba, asique sumado a la malas fechas, plata perdida, nos veíamos obligados a cancelar la ultima fecha.
Junto con nosotros en Paraná tocaban los Black Furs, fue la ultima vez que tocamos con ellos.Ellos no estaban invitados a tocar en Cordoba, pero dado a que andaban en auto y nosotros no teniamos como ir, a la madrugada del día antes de tocar logramos comunicarnos con Jose(Organizador del Cba Stoner Fest) y decirle si podían ir ellos también(The Black Furs) dado a que "íbamos a ir con ellos en su vehículo particular, si no no podía ir ninguna de las 2 bandas"(Mephistofeles y Sahara). Mientras organizábamos todo esto, Ismael se comunico con su madre y logro que ella le prestara su auto para viajar a Cordoba y los Nostone ya tenían su van.

Al otro día salimos entre las 9am y las 11am, no paro de llover hasta que llegamos a Cordoba , en un momento una de las escobillas del limpiaparabrisas del auto de Ismael se salió y empezó a rayar el vidrio, paramos abajo de un puente para arreglarlo.
Una vez ya en Cordoba paramos en la ruta a disfrutar el paisaje, era la primera vez (creo yo) que viajaba la banda por su propia cuenta y creo que la primera vez que Ismael manejo tanto.

IS A LOT OF ROCK!

LIVE! is the first live album by Sahara. It was recorded at the Damned Commuion Festival in Cordoba, Argentina on October 9th of 2022.

After releasing “III” in Jan 2022, Sahara has been cited by many as one of the best live rock acts in the world. According to Jeff Bezos: “Sahara isn’t any typical band. When you listen to them, it's very easy to forget that they are just a three piece band that plays. The massive wall of sound they create is just unreal, is the most powerful live performance that you will ever hear from any act”.

With their album “III” was depicted and promoted as "stoner doom metal" by the label, the band thought their music and their shows are just raw Rock and Roll.

At the end of winter 2022, the band returned to Argentina with the desire of releasing a true live rock album out of the many live concerts they played and recorded in the last tour. However, Ravera and Ludi avoided the exhausting task of listening to all the accumulated recordings to decide which would make the best album..

The Damned Communion Festival was booked and arranged on 9 October 2022 at Cordoba, the band was the main act, playing for more than 1,200 people. There were some technical problems for recording the show. Those problems affected the main mixing board making some guitar tracks disappear on few songs… Lucio vocals are lost and Gabriel backing vocals for "Altar of Sacrifice" too.

According to Gustavo Enjoy, because there was no microphone pointed towards the audience, crowd noise was a "distant presence" making the recording "a faithfull register of what the band played and nothing more”. Nothing beyond an incredible experience of a show.
